The vase is moulded in the form of a basket with swelling sides rising to a slender neck with galleried mouth rim. The lobed body is decorated to the shoulders and to the mouth rim with parallel bands of a rope-twist design and the vase is covered all over with a celadon glaze pooling in the recesses.
