CHINE DU NORD, FIN DE LA DYNASTIE QING (1644-1911)
Syamatara is seated in a relaxed posture in a form of lalitasana on a plinth. Her right hand is lowered in varadamudra while the left is raised in vitarkamudra. She is wearing a sari finely decorated with floral and geometric designs. Her face displays a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows. Her hair is coiffed in a triple gourd-shaped chignon and secured by a tiara. There are traces of gilt decoration remaining.
