RARE STELE DE HARITI EN SCHISTE GRIS
REGION DU GANDHARA, IIEME-IIIEME SIECLE
Hariti is shown seated in European fashion on a throne with her left foot set on a small stool resting on a pedestal carved to the front with a geometric design. Her left hand is supporting the cornupia horn while her right arm is damaged. She is dressed in a long diaphanous garment exposing her right breast and shoulder while falling in parallel folds over her legs just revealing her bare feet. Her face displays a serene expression with downcast eyes, smiling lips and her long wavy hairdo is falling partly over her shoulders and topped with a bonnet.
