Original dark grey cloth, dust-jackets. FIRST EDITIONS, PRESENTATION COPIES, the front free endpapers variously inscribed by the author to Anthony, or to Anthony and Tanya, Hobson. The volumes are individually titled Infants of the Spring (1976), Messengers of Day (1978), Faces in My Time (1980) and The Strangers All Are Gone (1982). Also included in the lot is an oddity, a pre-publication copy of The Strangers All Are Gone, with Anthony Powell’s bookplate, and his pencil note on the front free endpaper: “Advance copy incorrectly bound in orange.”
