A Shibayama gold lacquer, silver and enamel dish
on four feet, the central panel inlaid in mother-of-pearl, ivory and wood with a group of figures in a boat below cherry blossom and plantain and three birds in flight, further figures in the distance among trees beside a shrine entrance, the filigree border decorated in enamels with flowerheads on scrolling grounds -- 13.1/4.in (33.6cm) wide, signed Shuzan, (minor pieces of inlay missing, old wear).
