The vases are each applied with two elephant-head handles, decorated with bats and lotus blooms amongst scrolling foliage and interspersed with shou characters all reserved on a yellow ground; the dish similarly decorated with a scrolling foliate design on a yellow ground, the reverse decorated three floral sprays in a famille rose palette
