MAKER'S MARK ONLY OF JOHN LUFF, LONDON, CIRCA 1730
Engraved with a baroque coat of arms to either side, screw-on cap, the pull-off base with gilt interior forming a cup, with a narrow band of intersecting strapwork engraved along the lower body

The arms are for Thomas Sergison of Cuckfield Place, Sussex (1701-1766), who married the daughter of William Pitt and was MP for Lewes (1747-1766)
