Mitchell and Kenyon came to prominence during 1899, although Barnes has traced them back to 1897. They had constructed a cinematographic projector by November 1897 which was known as the New Norden Cinematograph although it us unlikely that it was produced for the commercial market. Barnes states that the firm may have designed their own. This camera bears a Mitchell & Kenyon trade label which repeats the camera serial number (16).
