The Biokam was registered in November 1898 but did not become available until 1899. It was a combined cinematograph, still camera, printer, projector, enlarger and reverser. The first model appeared in an ebonised finish with later examples appearing in a polished mahogany finish.
The camera was sold by the WTC but had been patented by Alfred Darling and Alfred Wrench. The Biokam was made by Darling in his workshop at South Road, Preston Park, Brighton.
