the complete set of 147 linocuts (36 in red), in- and hors-texte, title page, justification and text in French by Henri de Montherlant on Rives BFK paper, 1944, a posthumous edition printed in 1981, numbered 100/100, published by the Matisse Estate, New York, each with their 'HM' blindstamp, in very good condition, within the original blue linocut paper wrappers, in a cream-colored chemise and slipcase with the title in red on the cloth-covered spine
Overall: 13 ¾ x 10 ¾ in. (349 x 273 mm.)
