A Louis XVI white marble, gilt-bronze and bronze mantel clock
the drum-shaped case with displayed eagle surmount and flanked by amorini seated on cushions and holding garlands, on scroll supports mounted with caryatid busts and trailing flowers, flanked by floral bouquets, with leaf-pierced apron below the dial, on break front base with relief cast panel to the fore depicting cavorting cherubs, on milled flattened bun feet, the white enamel Arabic dial lacking signature but inscribed à Paris, one pierced gilt-metal hand lacking, the twin barrel movement with silk suspension and countwheel strike on bell, with mask pendulum -- 24in.(61cm.) high
