A Charles I style walnut striking table clock
the case with handle and brass foliate and cherub mask mounts to the cushion top, elongated finials to the angles (one lacking), brass fish scale sound frets to the sides, on brass bun feet, the brass dial with silvered chapter ring and gilt-metal winged cherub mask spandrels, steel hands, signed on the centre Richard Parsons London, the four pillar twin wire fusee movement with anchor escapement and striking on a bell (lacking), the backplate elaborately engraved with scrolling foliage around a basket of flowers and repeat signature, with similar decoration to the movement securing brackets, possibly 19th century -- 13½in.(34cm.) high
