with cross-banding, satinwood and ebony line inlay, the break arch hood with brass-capped outset columns, arched trunk door flanked by fluted pilasters, on plinth with bracket feet, the painted dial with scene of a hunter and his dog to the arch and spandrels depicting recumbent deer, with subsidiary seconds and calendar rings, signed C. Gowland Sunderland, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement and falseplate stamped FINNEMORE -- 87½in.(222cm.) high
