the moulded break arch hood with brass onion finials, gilt-capped pilasters and glazed panels to the sides, break arch trunk door with boxwood and ebony line inlay, on block plinth, the brass dial with engraved disc to the arch depicting a displayed eagle, gilt-metal foliate spandrels, signed on the chapter ring John Wenham EAST DEREHAM, the matted centre engraved with a bird, with seconds dial and date aperture, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement -- 87in.(221cm.) high
