The jar is decorated to the exterior with a pheasant and its mate perched on rocks beside several flowering peony stems, the small circular cover is enamelled with a flower bud growing from a leafy stem, with an apocryphal Qianlong six-character seal mark in blue enamel
4 5/8 in. (11.8 cm.) high

The Collection of Baron Léon (1866-1932) de la maire Warzée Hermalle, and his wife Dorothy Davis.
Thence by descent to the current owner.
