A CHINESE WHITE AND RUSSET JADE CARVING OF A BOY
YUAN/MING DYNASTY (1279-1644)
The boy is carved and pierced holding a large lotus stem slung over his shoulder, the tips of the lotus flowers are carved from the dark russet skin of the stone, the rest of the stone is of a very pale tone with some tiny black speckled inclusions
