Comprising:- 14 table forks, 2 basting spoons, 8 dessert spoons and 11 table spoons by George Smith, 1773; 17 table forks by John Lambe, 1783; 9 table forks and 12 table spoons by Richard Crossley, 1791 and 2 dessert spoons by the same maker, 1795; also a fish slice of 18th century style by Francis Higgins, 1868, mostly engraved with the arms of Godolphin within the Garter strap and surmounted by a duke's coronet

Ian Pickford comments in his book "Silver Flatware" that this is a very rare pattern and that "services from the eighteenth century, should they exist, would be extremely rare and to build a service would be impossible"
