A CONTINENTAL SILVER KETTLE ON STAND
PROBABLY GERMAN, WITH RUSSIAN IMPORT MARK FOR ST. PETERSBURG, CIRCA 1890, AND LATER FRENCH CONTROL MARK
Engraved with frieze of foliate scrollwork and vacant reserves, the domed cover with similar band and swing handle, the conforming stand on four ball feet; together with a tray bearing spurious Russian marks, including a spurious Fabergé mark; together with a Russian silver sugar bowl here acting as a slop bowl, mark of FN (Cyrillic), Moscow, 1818, plain except for a narrow band of anthemions and with gilt interior
