A SMALL SILVER WIRE-INLAID ZITAN FLORIFORM STAND
18TH-19TH CENTURY
The stand is carved from a single section of zitan. The top is carved as six petals surrounding a raised central panel carved in openwork with a peony amidst scrolling stems, and is raised on six ruyi-form feet joined by shaped stretchers. The sides and legs are finely inlaid in silver with archaistic scrolls.
7/8 in. (2.4 cm.) high, 3 1/8 in. (8 cm.) diam.
