Of rectangular form on plain base, the gilt and monochrome painted decoration consisting of elegant floral sprays within dotted frames, the wide borders with foliated scrolling tendrils, the steel cut lock-plate worked as two abutted peacocks, the hinged fall-front opening to reveal eight drawers with further floral decoration highlighted in red and green, with steel handles, with keys
