Vanitas IV

Sharing a studio with his twin brother Josep, Pere Santilari’s oeuvre focuses on still-life. In this work, from his series on vanity and death, we see the artists exquisite skilful depiction of traditional subject matter set in subtle but stark contrast with the 21st-century commercialism, through the inclusion of money and a barcode.
