This diorama appears to commemorate the Spanish victory in the battle of Tétouan, which led to the end of the Spanish-Moroccan war of 1859-60. The battle took place during the reign of Queen Isabella II of Spain, and here she is depicted in celebration on the balcony of what is today the Palau de la Generalitat de Catalunya, Barcelona.
