A FLAMBÉ-GLAZED HU-FORM VASE
EARLY 19TH CENTURY
The vase is supported on a splayed foot, and is molded with a bow-string band above the edge of the sloping shoulder which tapers towards the neck flanked by a pair of peach-sprig-form handles. The exterior is covered with a glaze of crushed-strawberry-red color streaked in purple and milky blue and thinning to mushroom on the handles.
