AN UNUSUAL AUBERGINE, GREEN AND YELLOW-GLAZED 'DRAGON' BOWL
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The exterior is decorated with two five-clawed dragons racing amidst clouds above a band of petal lappets, all in aubergine detailed in black on a bright green ground, while the interior and rim are covered with a glaze of rich egg yolk-yellow color. A Jiajing six-character mark in underglaze blue within a double circle is on the base.
