A similar, but seemingly unmarked, vase described as having a glaze of tea-dust style and dated to the 18th century, in the Percival David Foundation, is illustrated by S. Pierson and A. Barnes in A Collector's Vision: Ceramics for the Qianlong Emperor, London, p. 110, no. 96. On the Percival David vase, the chilong crawls from one side of the body up onto the shoulder and neck on two sides.
