A PAIR OF YELLOW-GLAZED JARDINIÈRES AND STANDS
TONGZHI-GUANGXU PERIOD (1862-1908)
The circular jardinières have deep sides rising to a flat, everted rim, and two drainage holes in the base, and, like the matching stands, are covered inside and out with a lemon-yellow enamel, including the base where it covers a four-character incised mark, Chuxiu gong zhi (made for the Chuxiu Palace). The rim edges are white.
Jardinières 10 1/8 in. (26 cm.) diam.

Acquired in Hong Kong, 1987.
