AN IRON-RED AND GILT-DECORATED ROULEAU VASE
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The vase is well potted and decorated with variously shaped reserved panels containing birds and flowers set amidst a chrysanthemum scroll ground, with floral reserved against a diaper ground on the shoulder. The neck is decorated with butterflies beneath decorative borders repeated on the everted rim. There is an underglaze blue double circle on the base.
