Lot Essay

This fancifully carved, inlaid and painted table is attributed to John Norbert Riffle (1877-1966) of Greensburg, Pennsylvania. According to his World War I draft card, Riffle was employed as a carpenter by J. E. Meyers in Penn, Pennsylvania.
