Lot Essay

This bedroom scene is created on a repurposed and deconstructed Royal Gelatin Dessert package. The composition reveals Castle’s sophisticated understanding of space and his attention to detail: the mirror in the center of the room reflects the left-hand bedframe, while the large headboard dominating the foreground highlights the artist’s ability to render perspective.
