Tasting note: The 2012 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Cras goes up a few levels in terms of mineralite over the Combottes. The aromatics soar from the glass and whisk you straight the vintage – there is astonishing tension and nervosite underpinning this Les Cras The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, intense black fruit infused with black truffle and spice, building towards a compelling peacock’s tail of a finish.
