The third book of a collection of traditions, Arabic manuscript on buff paper, 100ff. plus one fly-leaf, each folio with 23ll. of sepia and red naskh, important words and phrases picked out in larger naskh, first folio with the title and author's name written in a triangular format, final folio with owner's note stating the name of the scribe and the date, minor areas of worm-holing and staining, in later Mamluk-style brown morocco with central stamped medallions, paper doublures

A 10th century copy of the second book of this work is in the Chester Beatty Library, Dublin (A. Arberry, A Handlist of the Arabic Manuscripts, Vol.I, Dublin, 1955, p.49, no.3123). There are four copies of this work in the British Library, one of which is dated AH 511/1117-18 AD (OR 8291), two of which are 13th century (OR 8290 and 8927) and one of which is 17th century (IO ISL 2880/5; all in P. Stocks and C. Baker, Subject-Guide to the Arabic Manuscripts in the British Library, London, 2001, p.28). There is another later copy with a list of all the books (kitab) in the John Rylands Library in Manchester. That is dated AH 1117/1705-06 AD (A. Mingana, Catalogue of the Arabic Manuscripts, Manchester, 1934, pp.217-229, no.130 [679]).
