Persian manuscript on paper, 146ff. plus three fly-leaves, each folio with 14ll. of elegant black nasta'liq divided into two columns by gold rules, with five contemporaneous full page illustrations set within bifolios with gold illuminated margins, the central divider between the two columns with gold and polychrome scrolling vine on blue ground, opening bifolio with similar illuminated central divider, the text in clouds reserved against gold ground, the illuminated headpiece with gold and polychrome floral illumination, gold illuminated margins with animals and birds, one later Ottoman ownership note stating that the manuscript belonged to a certain Sayyid 'Abd al-Karim, in associated Ottoman tooled and gilded brown morocco
