The basin of typical form with rounded body and wide sloping rim, the pierced drip tray with a radial design, the ewer with a bulbous body tapering to a thin neck with a slightly flaring rim and raised collar, the separate domed lid with a band of scroll work around the rim and a pomegranate-shaped finial, a curved handle formed of overlapping cusped foliage and a curved spout with wide aperture, the neck of the ewer and the rim of the basin marked with tughras of 'Abdulhamid II and sah marks, minor silver polish encrustation to the handle
