The single-edged blade tapering to a fine point, the spine with a raised medial ridge issuing from a gold inlaid palmette at the forte, the hilt of typical form with black enamelled decoration comprising animal combats, elephants, peacocks and other birds against a ground of flowering vine within borders of stellar motifs, the chappe formed of an ivory disk, the wooden sheath with original fittings at either end with similar enamelled decoration, slight dent at the end of the sheath, the chape now missing, blade probably associated
