Payne notes this table, Index Number 63, is subject to complex notes in Linke’s archive (Blue Daybooks) and is a variant of Index Number 146. Seemingly, nine different versions of the table existed, with marquetry or marble tops and with either three or four legs, and the model continued to be available into the 1930s. Listed under Number 146, a three-legged example by Linke, with retailer's label for Maison Krieger, was sold Sotheby's, New York, 26 October 2006, lot 69 ($27,000); the present table is the following lot from that sale and was also probably made by Linke for Maison Krieger.
