A MUGHAL-STYLE WHITE JADE CIRCULAR BOX AND COVER
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The compressed domed cover is finely carved in shallow relief with a gardenia flower growing on a single leafy stem, detailed with smaller floral buds. The rounded sides are decorated with overlapping petals, repeated on the rounded sides of the box, supported on a large floral bloom-shaped foot. The semi-translucent stone is of an even white tone.
