A SANCAI-GLAZED CIRCULAR BOX AND COVER
TANG DYNASTY (618-907)
The box and cover of slightly compressed circular form is raised on a flat base with a bevelled outer edge. It is covered overall with a well-controlled green and amber spotted glaze, falling in an irregular line on the unglazed underside. The interior of the box is covered with a pale green glaze.
