The delicately carved bowl is formed with thin rounded sides rising from a floral-shaped foot to a slightly everted mouth rim, and flanked by a pair of S-shaped foliate handles. It is decorated in low relief around the exterior with a central band of stylised chrysanthemum blooms enclosed within ruyi-shaped cartouches, all between further borders containing U-shaped flowers. The semi-translucent stone is of a light green tone suffused with darker speckles.
