A CARVED HUANGHUALI WAISTED KANG TABLE
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
With the top panel set within the wide, rectangular frame with beaded, thumb-grooved edge, above narrow waist and shaped, beaded aprons finely carved with classic scrolls, all raised on elegantly shaped, beaded cabriole legs terminating in scroll feet raised on short tabs. The four corners of the top frame and aprons are fitted with metal ruyi-shaped mounts.
