A Victorian brass-bound coromandel dressing case
of oblong form, containing four silver-topped glass toilet jars and bottles and a shaving brush in cylindrical case, each with a vacant circular cartouche surrounded by a bright-cut rococo flowers, foliage and C-scrolls, with several further fittings, some of them with ivory handles, including a pair of razors, a strop and a dip pen, the dressing case lid with brass cartouche engraved with initials, the interior with name and address: "I.J. Mechi, Maker, 4 Leadenhall St., London", the silver lids maker's initials W.N., London 1850, with part leather travel cover - length of dressing case 9in. (22.75cm.)
