A French 19th Century silver-gilt christening set
decorated with bow and laurel swags and engraved with armorials with coronets, comprising: a lipped pan with ebonised tapering octagonal handle - 9¼in. (23.50cm.) overall, a circular plate, an inverted bell-shaped beaker, a napkin ring, an egg cup, two knives, one with steel blade, a fork and four spoons, one with ivory bowl, in a plush and satin-lined tooled leather case with retailer's name and address: "A. Aucoc, R. de la Paix", with a hand inscribed paper ticket: "Mgr. Le Duc d'Orléans à sa Filleule".
