A French 19th Century silver-gilt chalice
on a foliate-decorated rising hexafoil base enhanced with quatrefoils enamelled in shades of white, green, blue and red, the hexagonal stem with foliate and flute-decorated gem-set knop, the tapering circular bowl also decorated with enamelled quatrefoils and with inscription in Latin - 9¼in. (23.50cm.), 16.25oz. gross.
