Lot Essay

With Audemars Piguet undated stamped warranty, sales tag, instruction manual, fitted presentation box and outer packaging.

Inaugurated at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in 2010, the Royal Oak Offshore Grand Prix Chronograph embodies the creativity and savoir-faire developed by Audemars Piguet throughout the years.

By experimenting with carbon watch parts in the 1980s and learning from the aeronautical industry, the manufacture developed a keen sense of the material's potential and the possibilities of adapting it to watchmaking. Through the use of such a material, Audemars Piguet has been able to create both iconic and avant-gardist wristwatches such as the Millenary Carbon One, the Juan Pablo Montoya or Rubens Barrichello limited editions.
Enabling the timepieces to be both extremely robust and light, forged carbon also makes each watch unique. As carbon fibers are randomly distributed during the fabrication process, wristwatches will incorporate subtle unique traits, making them even more prized by watch enthusiasts.

Offered here in excellent overall condition, the undeniable appeal of the present watch makes it an exciting example for Audemars Piguet aficionados.
