Lot Essay

With Audemars Piguet warranty dated 16 October 2009, instruction manual, fitted presentation box and outer packaging.

Introduced in 1989 as a re-imagined Royal Oak that could handle the lifestyle of the most active and adventurous collectors, the Offshore was designed by following a deconstructed approach, intending to showcase how the timepiece's key elements were built and allied together. Similar to the Royal Oak, the Offshore received criticism during its presentation. Today the model has become one of Audemars Piguet's most successful timepieces, becoming a true symbol of fusion between luxury and sport aesthetics.

Launched at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in 2009, the present Royal Oak Offshore has made a strong impact in the watch community.

Nicknamed Bumble Bee due to its sharp contrast between the 42mm. forged carbon ceramic case and the vibrant yellow tachymeter scale, the present wristwatch is assembled with an Audemars Piguet in-house movement as well as a crocodile black leather strap with yellow stitching.

With an instantly recognizable design and high level of sophistication, the present chronograph will furthermore delight its new owner through its excellent condition.
