拍品專文

The design of this piece is clearly related to that of Moser’s 1900 inlaid sideboard, made by Portois & Fix, shown at the 8th Secession Exhibition, in Vienna, that year. Instead of the fish inlay seen on that example, now in the permanent collection of the MAK, Vienna, this version employs carved decoration of stylised foliage and berries taken from a carpet design by Moser of 1899.
