MARK OF JOHN HUGH LE SAGE, LONDON, 1730, BRITANNIA STANDARD
Oval, with basket-weave sides and rope-twist border and handles, the center engraved with a coat-of-arms within a baroque cartouche, marked underneath and with Le Sage's Britannia mark (Grimwade 2469)
14 in. (36 cm.) long; 42 oz. (1,334 gr.)

The arms are possibly those of Carthew quartering those of another
