Tasting note: Russet core surrounded by a narrow reddish rim. The rich, powerful nose opens with dense figgy plum pudding aroma. After a few minutes, an array of complex herbal and spice nuances emerge, giving the wine an attractive complexity. The palate is in perfect balance, full bodied but not heavy, and the long finish is full of fresh plummy flavour. Opulent and seductive, this wine is entering its peak drinking period but can benefit from further time in bottle.
