A PALE CELADON JADE CARVING OF A BIRD
18TH CENTURY
The bird is carved and pierced with its head turned over its back and a long flowering branch of prunus blossom in its beak. Its feathers are incised and its feet are tucked beneath its body. The stone is of a pale, even celadon tone.
4 7/8 in. (12.3 cm.) long, carved wood stand

Private European collection, predominantly assembled in the 1970s and 1980s.
