The group depicts Cao Guojiu holding a pair of castanets standing beside He Xiangu who carries a lotus stem. The amber is of a rich chocolate and dark caramel tone. The snuff bottle is carved in relief with a pair of lions frolicking in a garden of bamboo and is of a translucent deep honey tone.
