A FLAMBÉ-GLAZED 'POMEGRANATE' CUP AND A FLAMBÉ-GLAZED 'CHILONG' VASE
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The pomegranate cup is modelled growing from a leafy branch and is covered in a vibrant flambé glaze streaked with purple, red and light blue, thinning to beige at the extremities. The vase is of fanggu form, covered in a sky blue flambé glaze with subtle pale streaks, and is applied with a chilong clambering over the mouth rim.
The larger, 5 in. (12.7 cm.) high
